The 3-stage MinoSharp 3 Ceramic Water Stone Sharpener is our newest and most advanced model. It has 3 sharpening wheels, one rough, one medium and one superfine. However, on the MinoSharp 3, the rough wheel is much rougher than the rough wheels on the MinoSharp and MinoSharp Plus and is, therefore, much stronger. If you have ignored your knives for years and they cut more like a butter knife than a kitchen knife, we strongly recommend this sharpener. This sharpener also has the added benefit of a superfine sharpening wheel which allows you to polish your edges as a final step and make them even sharper.

The only good knife is a sharp knife. This tool does the job.
Easy, quick, RIGHTHANDED!

My G-2 had been getting rather difficult to sharpen and wasn't holding an edge, so I decided to see if I could save it with one of these. I definitely recommend getting the wheel with fine grit, the medium isn't sharp enough. It's not as sharp as factory, but it is so much better. It's a pleasure to use my knife again.
Side note: You have to use it with the knife in your right hand and the sharpener in your left. It doesn't specify that on the packaging, but my first sharpening attempt yielded horrible results (I'm left handed, so I just did what came naturally). When I thought about it and switched sides it was amazing. Great product!
Best quick sharpener I've ever owned.

I've used whetstones, electric sharpeners, a sharpening steel, and various other gadgets, including a 2-stage Minosharp. The 3-stage Minosharp is as effective as the best alternatives, and it is far easier than anything else. When I'm finished cutting, I give my knife 5 or 6 passes on the finest wheel and it stays razor sharp. I could shave with these knives. Incidentally, don't waste your money on the two stage. I wasn't getting good results and went back to my steel, until I happened to get the three stage unit. It's very good.
